The fans of the show also made there presence known, as Jamie’s "Bamber Bunnies", and Mark Sheppard’s "Romo Kitties" cheered their favorite actors on. Mark Sheppard noted that actors today have much greater access to their fans than in the past, and the level of interaction that they now can have is simply incredible. Many of these shows represented at the convention have achieved cult status and his largely has to do with the level of fan participation and having the opportunity to share their feelings with the actors and creators of the show just helps to increase the level of interest that much more.

If you attended any of the Stargate mega-panels you soon came to realize that not all the panels needed to dwell on the deep issues facing society. Fans were entertained by actors from both Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, and the discussion often centered more on what the actors did the previous evening rather than the show itself. It was apparent on the last day that some of the cast had had a really good time at the con as the panel started late and several of the actors slowly made their way up onto the stage donning sunglasses and struggling to answer simple questions. The audience ate it up and these panels were a real fan favorite. Some of the cast members appearing on these panels included Lois Gossett Jr., Claudia Black, Christopher Judge, Paul McGillion, Jason Momoa, Michael Shanks, Vanessa Angel, Lexa Doig, Corin Nemec, and Alexis Cruz.

Of course there were many other exciting panels as well, and you could find fan favorites such as Gil Gerard, Erin Grey, James and Oliver Phelps, The Myth Busters, James Marsters and many others holding court. Marsters the popular character from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and also is a find musician as well. During one of the Buffy panels, Marsters talked about how easy it can be to let all the fame get to one’s head and how he doesn’t even browse the internet anymore to avoid allowing all lauding from the fans to go to his head. It is not surprise that Marsters is such a hit with fans at any convention that he attends.

After the panels ended the fun was just beginning as there was plenty to do during the evenings. The Colonial Fleet held a Battlestar Galactica party attended by Jamie Bamber, Mark Sheppard, and Aaron Douglas. This was a great chance to party with some fantastic fans while also mingling with some of the stars from the show. Here you could listen to stories that were not discussed during the panels, such as Aaron Douglas’ underwear story. The lines for some of these parties were out a bit crazy but it was well worth it if you made it in.

Other parties included the Shindig (Firefly/Serenity party) where there was no shortage in people dressed in Jayne or Kaylee costumes, the Star Wars Cantina party with storm troopers guarding the front door, and the Pirate Party (dress code strictly enforced). Those who could not make it into any of these parties simply started there own, some could be found in gleeful states of song and dance along the street between the Hyatt and Marriott hotels.
